Asparagus casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 8 oz
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 5 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 2 Tbsp
- bread crumbs - 2/3 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped - 2 item
- cans asparagus, drained - 2 item
How to make asparagus casserole:
Combine 4 tablespoons of oleo, salt, paprika and flour; blend until smooth. Add milk gradually; stir until thickened. Add soup and cheese. Stir until cheese has melted. Saute onion and celery in 1 tablespoon of oleo. Add to soup mixture and add eggs. Alternate layers of asparagus and sauce in 2-quart casserole. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
