- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- grated American cheese - 1/2 c
- fat, melted - 4 Tbsp
- cooked asparagus - 3 c
How to make asparagus casserole:
Cook asparagus in boiling water for just 5 minutes; then place in casserole. Blend fat and flour; add milk gradually and cook slowly until thickened, stirring. Add cheese and salt.
