Asparagus au gratin
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- can asparagus spears, drained - 1 item
How to make asparagus au gratin:
Arrange asparagus in buttered dish. Melt butter and blend in flour and salt; add milk gradually stirring constantly; cook until smooth and thick; add cheese and stir until melted. Pour over asparagus. Top with bread crumbs and a dot of butter. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in 325° oven.Recipe categories: Side dish, Cheese, Asparagus.
