Arroz con pollo
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- large onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- basil leaves - 1/2 tsp
- sliced mushrooms - 1 c
- rice - 1 c
- cumin - 1/2 tsp
- mild salsa - 2 c
- chicken pieces - 2 to
- water mixed with 2 cubes chicken bouillon
How to make arroz con pollo:
In an electric skillet, brown washed chicken well on all sides. Sprinkle rice between chicken pieces. In a large bowl, combine all remaining ingredients, except peas. Pour mixture over chicken and rice. Simmer, covered, 30 minutes. Scatter peas all over chicken. Cover and simmer 15 additional minutes.
