Armenian pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/4 c
- rice - 1 c
- vermicelli, broken up - 1/2 c
- hot chicken or beef broth - 3 c
- salt to taste - 1 item
- onions, chopped - 1/3 c
How to make armenian pilaf:
Brown rice in butter in Dutch oven. Add vermicelli and coat with butter. Add onions. Stir in broth and salt. Cover and bake for 30 minutes in a 400° oven. Remove cover, stir rice carefully with a fork and bake 10 additional minutes or until liquid is absorbed.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, White rice.
