Apricot nectar cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 3/4 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- lemon extract - 1/4 tsp
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- Wesson oil - 1/2 c
- box lemon Jell-O - 1 item
- 1/2 can apricot nectar - 3/4 c
How to make apricot nectar cake:
Mix Jell-O, apricot nectar and Wesson oil. Add cake mix in two portions, beating after each addition. Add eggs, one at a time, blending after each. Then add vanilla and salt. Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake about one hour at 350°. Cake is done when toothpick is inserted and comes out clean. While cake is hot, make a mixture of powdered sugar and lemon juice and pour over cake.Note: I put all ingredients, except powdered sugar and lemon juice, in bowl and beat. Pat pan until bubbles rise. Also, note that 350° is too hot if using glass pan.
