Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- soft butter - 2 Tbsp
- dried apricots - 1 c
- orange juice - 1/2 c
How to make apricot bread:
Cover apricots in warm water and soak 30 minutes. Drain and cut with scissors. Cream sugar and butter. Add egg. Add water and juice. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar-egg mixture. Add nuts and apricots. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 2-inch loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes. Bake 60 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Time to make.
