  • oil
  • egg - 1 item
  • unsweetened applesauce
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking soda
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg or cloves
  • raisins
  • apple, pared, cored and diced - 1 item
  • Beat in the applesauce
  • vanilla

How to make applesauce spice cake:

Combine the oil and egg in large mixing bowl. Beat in the applesauce. Sift the dry ingredients. Add gradually to the batter, beating until smooth. Stir in raisins and apple. Bake in greased 9-inch round cake pan at 325° for about 25 minutes. Cool completely.Icing:8 oz. cream cheese2 tsp. vanilla2 packets Equal or Sweet 'N Low Mix together and frost cake.
