Applesauce muffins

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 4 c
• nutmeg - 2 tsp
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• raisins - 2 c
• nuts optional - 1/2 c
• ground cloves - 2 tsp
• applesauce - 2 c
• soda, dissolved in 4 Tbsp - 2 tsp

How to make applesauce muffins:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add applesauce and soda, then dry ingredients, raisins and nuts, if desired. Bake at 350°.
