Applesauce drop cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c
• flour
• soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• raisins - 1 c
• egg, beaten - 1 item
• applesauce
• clove - 1/4 tsp

How to make applesauce drop cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar; stir in egg. Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture, alternating with applesauce. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
