Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • almond extract - 1 tsp
  • raisins - 1 c
  • ground almonds - 1 c
  • oatmeal
  • applesauce - 1 c

How to make applesauce cookies:

Cream together butter and sugars. Add almond extract, eggs, vanilla and applesauce. Mix well. Blend in flour, oatmeal, baking soda and almonds. If desired, add pecan pieces and raisins. Drop by teaspoons onto Teflon coated cookie sheet and bake at 360° for 8 to 10 minutes. Servings: 36.

Optional: One cup pecan pieces and/or 1 cup raisins.
