- milk - 1/4 c

- brown sugar - 1 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 to
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- oleo - 1 c
- white sugar - 2 c
- unsweetened applesauce
- Add applesauce, white sugar and spices
How to make applesauce cake with caramel frosting:
Melt oleo in large saucepan. Add applesauce, white sugar and spices. Heat thoroughly. Stir in flour and soda. Stir in egg. Pour in greased 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake 40 minutes at 350°.Caramel Frosting:1/2 c. oleo1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. milk1 3/4 to 2 c. confectioners sugar Melt oleo in saucepan. Add brown sugar and boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and continue stirring until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and cool.
