Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour
- raisins - 3/4 c
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 1 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- applesauce - 1 c
How to make applesauce cake:
Sift together the first 6 ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Blend in applesauce. Add dry ingredients. Stir in raisins and nuts. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.In memory of Anne Carmody.
