Applesauce cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• salt
• nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
• soda
• cocoa - 2 Tbsp
• raisins optional - 3/4 c
• Crisco - 1/2 c
• nuts optional - 3/4 c
• cloves - 1/2 tsp
• sifted all-purpose flour - 2 c
• allspice - 1/2 tsp
• applesauce
• gumdrops optional - 3/4 c
• cherries optional - 3/4 c
• dates optional - 3/4 c

How to make applesauce cake:

Mix dry ingredients together. Add Crisco, eggs and applesauce. Mix well and then stir in nuts, raisins, etc. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan or similar size. Bake for 1 hour and 25 to 35 minutes at 350° or in a loaf pan for 1 hour.
