Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• nutmeg - 1 tsp
• soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 1/4 c
• raisins - 1 c
• cloves - 1/2 tsp
• applesauce - 1 c

How to make applesauce cake:

Cream sugar and shortening; add sifted dry ingredients alternately with applesauce. Add raisins. Bake in large bread pan at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Ice with butter frosting. Quick, easy and requires no eggs.
