Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- ground cloves - 3/4 tsp
- applesauce - 1 c
How to make applesauce cake:
Cream shortening and sugar, then add eggs. Beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together and add raisins. Add flour mixture to batter alternately with applesauce. Mix well. Add nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan or Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low cholesterol.
