  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • applesauce
  • raisins, chopped - 1 c
  • nuts, chopped fine - 1 c
  • dates, sliced fine - 1 c

How to make applesauce cake:

Cream butter and sugar; add well-beaten egg and vanilla. Add the rest of the ingredients. Turn into a well-buttered and floured bread pan. Bake slowly in moderate oven for 1 hour.
