Applesauce brownies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- unsweetened chocolate, melted - 2 oz
- raisins optional - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- canned applesauce - 1 c
How to make applesauce brownies:
Combine chocolate and butter or margarine; beat eggs until light and lemon colored. Gradually add sugar and continue to beat. Stir in chocolate mixture. Beat for 1 minute. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in applesauce, nuts, raisins and vanilla. Put in greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
