Applesauce bread

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• baking soda - 1/2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• finely chopped nuts - 1 c
• unsweetened applesauce - 1 c

How to make applesauce bread:

Combine shortening, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and nuts in a large bowl. Beat egg with a fork and stir in applesauce. Add to bowl and stir only until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf
