Apple yam delight
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- dark brown sugar
- all-purpose flour - 4 Tbsp
- margarine - 1 item
- can yams - 1 oz
- instant rolled oats - 3/4 c
- jar chunky style applesauce - 1 oz
How to make apple yam delight:
Topping:3/4 c. dark brown sugar4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour3/4 c. instant rolled oats margarine Topping: Mix together rolled oats, flour and brown sugar. Cut in margarine until evenly mixed and crumbly.Arrange a little less than half of the applesauce in a 6 x 10 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Spoon 3 tablespoons of the topping over the applesauce base. Evenly arrange the yams. Add the remaining applesauce to cover yams. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Add the rest of the topping and spread evenly. Bake at 350° until heated throughout (30 to 40 minutes).
Serve hot, plain, or top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
