  • sugar - 1 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • diced apples unpeeled - 2 c
  • chopped nutmeats - 1/2 c

How to make apple waldorf salad:

Combine apples, celery and nutmeats in a serving bowl. In a saucepan, stir together sugar, flour, egg and 2 tablespoons water. Add 1 cup water and butter. Bring to boil; cook until thickened. Stirring, add vinegar and salt. Let cool. Pour over mixture. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
