Apple waldorf salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- chopped celery - 1 c
- diced apples unpeeled - 2 c
- chopped nutmeats - 1/2 c
How to make apple waldorf salad:
Combine apples, celery and nutmeats in a serving bowl. In a saucepan, stir together sugar, flour, egg and 2 tablespoons water. Add 1 cup water and butter. Bring to boil; cook until thickened. Stirring, add vinegar and salt. Let cool. Pour over mixture. Refrigerate until ready to serve.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Apple.
