Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- oleo - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- ice water - 1/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- Mix well
- powdered dairy creamer - 1/2 c
- peeled apples, sliced 1/2-inch thick - 6 c
How to make apple pizza pie:
Combine creamer, sugars, flour, salt and spices in bowl. Mix well. Sprinkle 1/2 mixture over pastry. Cut butter into remaining mixture until crumbly. Set aside. Arrange apples in rings, overlapping. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Top with crumbly mixture. Bake at 450° for 30 minutes.Cheese Pastry Mixture:1 1/4 c. flour1 tsp. salt1/2 c. shortening1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese1/4 c. ice water Combine flour and salt in bowl; cut in shortening until coarse crumbs form. Stir in cheese, sprinkle ice water over mixture a little at a time, until forms a ball. Roll out on floured board to a 15-inch circle. Place on 14-inch pizza pan, form ridge.
