Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 5 6
  • cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 c
  • water - 2 qt
  • lemon juice - 1/3 1/2
  • apples - 1 item

How to make apple pie filling:

Mix water, cinnamon, sugar, salt, lemon juice and cornstarch in pan and bring to boil. Stir often until thick. Put 1 cup sauce in quart jar. Pack with sliced, peeled apples. Fill up with more sauce, leaving 1-inch headspace. Seal and water bath for 20 minutes.

Quick and excellent filling for pies, crisps and turnovers.
