Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 6
- cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 c
- water - 2 qt
- lemon juice - 1/3 1/2
- apples - 1 item
How to make apple pie filling:
Mix water, cinnamon, sugar, salt, lemon juice and cornstarch in pan and bring to boil. Stir often until thick. Put 1 cup sauce in quart jar. Pack with sliced, peeled apples. Fill up with more sauce, leaving 1-inch headspace. Seal and water bath for 20 minutes.Quick and excellent filling for pies, crisps and turnovers.
