Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 c
- water - 10 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- lemon juice - 3 tsp
- sliced apples - 36 c
How to make apple pie filling:
In a large kettle put all ingredients. Mix together and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Add apples and mix well. Keep warm while filling jar with apples and then juice from cooking kettle. Seal and process 20 minutes. Quart jars.Recipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Cake fillings and frostings.
