Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3/4 c
- sifted cake flour - 3 c
- finely chopped nuts - 1 c
- finely chopped apples about 6 medium apples - 4 c
How to make apple nut cake:
Measure sifted flour; add baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Sift together into a large bowl. Add oil, apples and vanilla. Beat by hand or at medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until well blended. Beat eggs until light yellow in color. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy. Fold the egg mixture into the apple mixture, blending thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Pour into lightly greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
