  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • pkg
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • Crisco
  • sifted plain flour - 3 c
  • peeled, diced apples - 3 c

How to make apple nut cake:

Icing (Cream Cheese):1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/2 c. butter or margarine1 lb. pkg. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Blend sugar, Crisco and eggs. Add flour, apples, pecans, vanilla and salt. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

Icing (Cream Cheese): Soften cream cheese and margarine. Sift powdered sugar. Combine cream cheese and butter; cream until smooth. Add powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
