Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- black walnuts - 1 c
- chopped apples - 3 c
- Wesson oil
- milk or cream - 1/4 c
- Beat well
How to make apple dapple cake:
Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Beat well. Sift flour with salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Add walnuts and apples; mix well. Bake 1 hour at 350° in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Test to see if done by pressing finger on top of cake and if it springs back, it is done.Topping:1/4 c. butter1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. milk or cream Boil 4 minutes over medium heat and pour over top of cake.Recipe categories: Cakes, Breads, Coffee cakes.
