Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- rolled oats - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- baking apples 5 medium apples, chopped
How to make apple crisp:
Crisp Crumbs: Combine 1 cup flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and butter; mix with a pastry cutter or fork to get the crumb texture just right. Set aside while you prepare the apples and spices.Peel and core the apples; chop them into small chunks. Combine the apples, white sugar, 1/4 cup flour and cinnamon in a small baking or casserole dish; mix thoroughly. Cover with the crumb mixture. Bake in a 325° oven until golden brown and bubbly. Serve while still warm, if possible.
