Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • onions, sliced - 2 item
  • beef, cut into 1-1/2 -inch chunks - 2 lb
  • cups Apple cider - 2 item
  • to 6 whole cloves - 4 item
  • to 6 whole allspice - 4 item
  • carrots, peeled, sliced - 4 item
  • potatoes, peeled, cut into squares - 4 item
  • stalk celery, sliced, chopped - 1 item
  • apple, peeled, sliced - 1 item

How to make apple cider beef stew:

Mix together flour, salt and pepper and coat beef chunks. Brown meat in heated oil. In large pot put meat with apple juice, lemon juice and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Simmer covered about 1-1/2 hours. Add vegetables and apple cider. Cook 20 more minutes or until vegetables are tender. Garnish with parsley.
