Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar
- softened butter - 3 Tbsp
- walnuts, chopped - 1 c
- peeled diced apples - 4 c
- Frosting:1 small cream cheese, softened
How to make apple cake with cream cheese frosting:
Frosting:1 small cream cheese, softened pinch of salt1/2 tsp. vanilla3 Tbsp. softened butter1 1/2 c. powdered sugar Beat eggs until light and fluffy; gradually add sugar, oil and vanilla. Sift together next 5 ingredients and add to first mixture. Stir in apples and walnuts. Put in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven about 45 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then spread frosting.Frosting: Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
