  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • soda
  • cooking oil - 3/4 c
  • nuts optional - 3/4 c
  • white sugar - 1/4 c
  • apples - 4 c

How to make apple cake:

Peel and slice thin the apples. Put them into a large bowl and sprinkle 2 cups sugar over them. Stir often. Let stand 1 hour. Beat eggs. Add oil and vanilla. Pour over the apples. Mix flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nuts well. Add to egg and apple mixture. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over the top before baking. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
