Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- salad oil
- apples, peeled and chopped - 3 c
- applejack - 1/2 c
- Heat and stir until blended
- Mix oil and sugar; add eggs, flour, soda, salt and vanilla
How to make apple cake:
Preheat oven to 325°. Mix oil and sugar; add eggs, flour, soda, salt and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Stir in apples, coconut and nuts. Place in greased tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.Topping #1:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. margarine1/2 c. milk Mix all ingredients. Heat and stir until blended. Boil 2 minutes. Have ready as cake is removed from oven. Pour over hot cake and allow it to soak in. Let cake cool completely before removing from pan.Topping #2:1/2 c. apple juice1/2 c. applejack1/4 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. margarine Boil all ingredients together until sugar is dissolved.
