  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • vanilla flavoring - 1 Tbsp
  • evaporated milk - 1/4 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs, well beaten - 3 item
  • apples, peeled and chopped - 3 c
  • Add vanilla flavoring

How to make apple cake:

Cream well the oil, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla flavoring. Sift dry ingredients together and blend into creamed mixture. Fold in pecans and apples. Pour into a well-greased Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.Icing:1 c. light brown sugar1/4 c. evaporated milk1/2 c. butter1 tsp. vanilla Bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat immediately. Stir in vanilla. Beat with a spoon until the icing is cool. Punch holes in the cake while it is still warm. Pour icing over the cake.
