Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg
- milk - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- raisins - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- chopped, peeled apples - 4 c
- melted shortening or oil - 1/2 c
How to make apple cake:
Icing:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/4 c. melted butter1 tsp. vanilla1 Tbsp. milk Mix (but do not beat) together all ingredients, except the apples and raisins. Then fold in the apples and raisins. Flour and grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour into pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.For icing, cream together well and then add enough powdered sugar to spreading consistency.
