  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • cornstarch
  • water - 3/4 c
  • soda
  • salad oil
  • grated fresh apples - 3 c
  • Pour into a greased 9 x 12-inch pan

How to make apple cake:

Mix all dry ingredients; add apples, eggs, salad oil and vanilla. Pour into a greased 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake in a 350° oven approximately 50 minutes. (Can be baked in two smaller pans. Makes a good sized cake.)Topping:1 c. brown sugar3/4 c. water1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch Mix sugar and cornstarch; add cold water. Cook until thick. Pour over cake while hot.
