  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • nuts optional - 1 c
  • cut up apples - 4 c

How to make apple cake:

Combine shortening, eggs and vanilla. Pare apples and dice. Set aside with sugar over them in a bowl. Mix flour, baking soda and cinnamon together. Add nuts if desired. Add apple mixture. Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Yum! Yum! Fattening!
