- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cooking oil - 1 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- chopped fresh apples - 3 c
How to make apple cake:
Frosting:2 c. sugar1 Tbsp. butter1 c. milk1 tsp. lemon extract Beat eggs with oil and sugar. Add apples and beat. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add to sugar and egg mixture; beat well. Add nuts and beat. Start in cold oven. Bake for 1 hour at 325°. Makes one 9 x 13-inch pan. For 3 round or 2 square layers, bake for 30 to 45 minutes.Frosting: Mix sugar, butter and milk. Cook until creamy and smooth; take off heat. Add lemon extract. Pour over cake while warm. Make 1/2 of frosting recipe for 9 x 13-inch cake.
