Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- large eggs - 2 item
- cooking oil - 1 c
- chopped apple about 2 apples - 2 c
How to make apple cake:
Mix sugar and eggs. Beat until fluffy (by hand). Add oil. Mix in dry ingredients. Add vanilla. Mix well and then add apples and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in preheated oven at 325° about 35 to 40 minutes. Do not overcook.Test for doneness with straw. Cool in pan and cut into squares.
