  • Crisco
  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • flour - 3 c
  • cinnamon
  • baking soda - 3 tsp
  • apples, diced - 6 c
  • nuts optional - 1 item

How to make apple cake:

Cream Crisco and sugar, then add eggs. Mix in flour, cinnamon and baking soda. Beat in apples. Mix well. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Pears can be added with apples to total 6 cups. Tastes best if allowed to age 1 day.
