Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground allspice - 1/8 tsp
- thawed frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate - 1/2 c
- jar unsweetened applesauce 2 1/2 c - 1 oz
How to make apple butter:
Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat 50 minutes or until very thick, stirring occasionally. Store in sealed container in refrigerator up to 3 weeks. Spread on toast or muffins. Makes 2 cups.Diabetic Exchanges Per Tablespoon: 1/4 fruit. Contains 16 calories per tablespoon.
