Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- honey - 1/3 c
- whole wheat flour - 1/2 c
- wheat germ - 1/2 c
- quick-cooking rolled oats - 1/2 c
- brown sugar, packed firmly - 1/4 c
- medium apples, pared, cored and sliced - 6 item
How to make apple brown betty:
Combine apples, raisins, walnuts, honey, 1/4 cup brown sugar, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch microwave-safe dish.Combine remaining dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Cut in butter and sprinkle over top of apple mixture. Microwave 6 to 8 minutes or until apples are tender. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
