- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 Tbsp
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- diced apples - 2 c
How to make apple bread:
Combine margarine and sugar in large mixing bowl, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in flour and salt. Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to batter, mixing well. Spoon into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Apple.
