Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5/8 c
- eggs - 2 item
- sifted pastry flour if using a nonpastry flour, add 1/2 tsp
- anise seed can substitute anise flavored extract - 1 tsp
How to make anise biscuits:
Place sugar and eggs in bowl and beat well for 10 minutes. Add flour slowly and mix thoroughly. Add anise seed. Butter and flour a 4-inch loaf pan and bake in moderate oven (375°) for 20 minutes. Remove from pan and slice into 1-inch thick slices; place slices on buttered baking dish and return to oven and cook 5 minutes on each side until brown.
