Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- egg whites at room temperature - 3 item
How to make angel pie:
Butter a 9-inch pie plate and set it aside.Beat egg whites in the small bowl of mixer for 1 minute, then gradually add the sugar as you continue beating. Beat for about 5 minutes or until the egg whites are stiff. Spread the beaten egg whites on the bottom and sides of the pie plate to form a "crust". Bake for 1 hour. Allow to cool and fill with your favorite filling. It is good filled with ice cream and frozen. Also good with fresh fruit like strawberries or raspberries in a glaze or with lemon filling.
