Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make angel flake biscuits:
Sift dry ingredients together; cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and yeast, dissolved in water. Mix with a spoon until all flour is moist. Cover bowl and put in refrigerator until ready to use or it can be used right away. The dough will keep for several weeks in refrigerator.
