  • sugar - 1/8 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg

How to make angel biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in Crisco. Stir in buttermilk and yeast. Refrigerate or roll out on a floured cloth and cut with a biscuit cutter. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 400° oven on a greased cookie sheet.
