Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- flour plain - 5 c
- lukewarm water - 2 Tbsp
How to make angel biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in water. Sift together dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, oil and yeast. Knead enough to hold together and roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter and fold in half. Bake at 400° for approximately 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
