Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder
- shortening - 1/2 c
- unsifted flour
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Sift the dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add with milk to dry ingredients; mix well. Turn out on lightly floured board; add more flour as needed and roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut, then dip in melted butter and fold to make pocket book rolls or stack several together.
