Amish bread pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- raisins - 1/2 c
- ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soft bread crumbs - 3 c
- milk, scalded - 2 c
How to make amish bread pudding:
Combine milk and butter. Stir until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. Combine eggs, sugar, salt and nutmeg; beat at medium speed for 1 minute. Stir in milk mixture. Place bread crumbs in a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with raisins. Add milk mixture. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until set. Serve warm.
