Ambrosia cookies
Ingredients/Components
- margarine or butter - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- coconut - 1 c
- quick oats - 2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- dates, chopped - 1 c
- candied cherries, chopped - 1 c
- chopped pecans or English walnuts - 2 c
How to make ambrosia cookies:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then flour. Mix well. Fold in remaining ingredients (batter will be very stiff). Drop on greased baking sheet. Cook about 10 minutes in 350° oven.This recipe was given to me by Claire Bradshaw.
